Join us on a spring wild food forage to discover the vast array of edible wild food delicacies that can found throughout the UK’s wild spacesIt will change the way you see and interact with the hedgerows in the future, from hawthorn berry chutney to wild garlic pesto, we will be trying lots of tasters during our stroll through the countryside whilst learning how to correctly identify the plants we will harvest to be used and cooked up for our lunch later in the day. What will we do: – Plant identification keys – Wild food walk – Lots of taters – Cook our own lunch – Make a preserve to take home and enjoy The menu may range from nettle pasta and wild garlic pesto to Japanese knotweed crumble, curried hogweed, battered dandelion flowers and many others depending on this years seasonal availability. A light lunch and refreshments are provided on the day.
